- Born in Bonnyville, Alberta. Played guitar growing up and was introduced to Arabic music when working in Oman.

- Picked up the darbuka in 2016 after watching a local performance by local percussionist Ahmed Al-aquily, which eventually led to becoming his student

- Performed at the Calgary Arab Festival, Edmonton Heritage Days, Devonian Gardens and numerous other cultural events in the Edmonton area.

- Plays darbuka in local group Chawacheen and the University of Alberta's Middle East and North African Music Ensemble, MENAME
