Elian E. Aboudi “@Decoelian”

I am an Edmonton based Palestinian-Jordanian, born in Kuwait, a BSBA graduated from the US, lived in Dubai for over two decades until I moved to Canada.

I am a multi medium artist and I have created many artwork pieces that reflect this diversity. Painting on different platforms, is my main passion with focus on the use of acrylic paint.

Some of my paint artwork include glass, wood, ceramics, stone, canvas, walls and most recently Ostrich Eggs. Other work includes but not limited to mosaic, cross stitch Tatreez, Collages, Pattern and Graphic Design. The physical elements of my practice include acrylic paint, fabrics, floss and needles, and glass to textiles, some of the final pieces were part of a teamwork and community enrichments.

Traveling for me involved visiting ancient historical museums, castles, and churches to see as many works of art as I possibly can.  I have infused the many different styles and ideas with my own heritage, culture and values to create my own unique vision and pieces.

Some of my influential artists are Sliman Mansour, Gaudi, Picasso, Salvador Dali, Romero Britto, Van Gogh along many other renowned artists.

My unusual artwork style, color twist, vivid colors and textures, analytic and synthetic skills led to many unique art-pieces. The modern twist on using Palestinian patterns and motifs to create my artwork has attracted worldwide interest especially after I single handedly hand-stitched a 2 meter by 1 and half meter piece that tells my own story.

Finally to better showcase my work, work relationships, and working environment I am attaching for you a few pictures from the many community projects I have been involved in.
